The Neo Gothic Style

Now, it is high time that we all should wave a good bye to the floral prints and extremely feminine and voluminous dresses that are the reflectors of a season that is charming and joyful. The mood across the globe is stressful. The people all over the world are burdened with tensions and even the beauty of exclusively frilly and lacy apparels only serves the purpose of covering up the sinister and complex moods.
It is time that the fashion designers feel the need to display our dark and angry mood through the neo gothic silhouettes. These neo goth dresses are not necessarily black in color, but they are very bold and show a sense of assertion. These dresses are neither wholly feminine nor completely masculine, but are an amalgam of the both so as to show a combination of both ways of life.

The deconstructed cocktail outfit by Rodarte shows the prevalent mood through ripped tights and unfinished folds while Kamishima Chinami from Japan exhibits a lighter version of gothic feel with the bird print apparel.
The neo gothic dresses are all about being cynical and not entirely dark. The concept brings the extremes of an end closer.
