Psychologists have found out that if there is a case of sizable weight loss, there is a danger for the relationship. Some relationships even end when one of the partners has lost significant weight.
The main reason actually is that the person who has lost all that weight, subconsciously, is trying to make his/her partner to make analogical changes in his/her life as well. Usually, this results in constant nagging towards the other partner, or even loss of sexual interest. This results negatively on the relationship and endangers the love both used to have.
On the other hand, if both partners decided to start a healthy way of living, their relationship and the change they overcome together, strengthens their relationship. However, if it is only one of them ready for the big change, after a while he/she start to terrorize the other one.
