Gal Meets Glam Collection Ines Dress, Margaux x Gal Meets Glam Collection Pointe
I’ve always dreamed of bringing Gal Meets Glam Collection to life from head to toe. When we set out to create a new shoe collaboration, my top priorities were the same as they are for apparel: high quality, effortlessly elegant design, and comfort. Our customers are busy women juggling many different priorities including family, careers, friendships, social commitments and more. We simply don’t have time for uncomfortable shoes to interfere with all we need to accomplish each day! That’s why I am so excited about collaborating with Margaux, a brand that prioritizes fit and comfort…while never sacrificing on style.
We designed our Margaux for Gal Meets Glam Collection shoes to pair effortlessly with our fall dresses, jumpsuits, and sweaters. Join us on a perfect fall day in Charleston for plenty of styling inspiration, plus a few ideas to note for your next Charleston weekend getaway. While we are highlighting four different ideas here, any of these looks could take you from your early morning meeting through post-dinner cocktails with elegance, ease, and (of course) comfort.
A dreamy place to wake up in Charleston is 86 Cannon, a gorgeous home from the 1860s that has been exquisitely restored into a boutique bed and breakfast. Slip into the Carlene dress and The Boot and head downstairs to enjoy their delicious European-style continental breakfast. Don’t forget to save time for a bit of people watching from the sweeping front porch while you sip your coffee!
You could walk all over town in The Demi flat, but our next stop is just a minute down the road from 86 Cannon. mac & murphy is a fun spot to browse for new cards, calendars, or gift items. Fall in Charleston can still be on the warm side, so the Ramona dress makes a perfect style to spend the day in. The sleeveless silhouette will keep you cool and comfortable, while the tweed fabric styled with the burgundy suede of The Demi feels undeniably fall-ready.
There are countless places to enjoy lunch and a latte in Charleston, but one of our team’s current go-to spots is Babas on Cannon. If we’re headed from a shoot or meeting to lunch during the week, you’ll often find us in The Loafer, whose classic shape and pink velvet fabric make a chic statement no matter where the workday takes us. This fall, pair The Loafer with one of our new sweater dresses, like the elegant cream Agnes, pictured here.
My favorite days end with a treat from the most charming bakery in town, Sugar Bakeshop. To add the perfect amount of texture and color to a simply sophisticated look (like our cream Ines dress), slip into The Pointe, our pointed-toe flat in a gorgeous pink and navy tweed. Both sophisticated and sweet, this look is just right for meeting a friend for dessert. Tip: At Sugar Bakeshop, don’t miss the s’mores cupcake in the fall, or vanilla blueberry all year round.
