designer gloves

Soon after the British Vogue ended, I was on a spree to populate my wardrobe with the new season accessories. What a good thought to stay away from sun burns while maintaining elegance? And I discovered handmade gloves designed in London available for shipping globally. Doing justice to my Spring Summer collection, the elite patterns of Glovedup’s is a new fashion statement. The wide variety of gloves include short brocade fingerless gloves (£35), which is a fingerless pair of gloves weaved in green and gold metallic brocade with its thumb and finger holes spruced in beige satin strap. On the same lines pink mesh long fingerless pair of gloves is also available at the same price with a only difference of a silver sheen.

Another set of gloves that invited my attention is space racer gloves that come in a white textured neoprene and gold stretch leather. Named after Anna Piaggi, the Anna racer gloves are again fingerless holographic pink distinguished with a pearly white. It falls amongst my favorite list. If pink is not your color then you can always go with white.

Do spend some time over shiny gold opera gloves, silver opera gloves and black puff sleeved gloves. All of these has a soft black lining, which is comfortable to wear and were custom-built by Diesel for their AW07 show and were priced at £65.

It was a great ride at their site and now all my eyes are glued upon the much anticipated frilly leggings and tiaras ready to hit next month.

Givenchy’s Ballerina Looks

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 | Designer, Fashion, Fashion Designers, Fashion show, Shopping, Spring Collection 2008, Style, Summer Collection 2008 with No Comments »

Ballerina

The spring’ summer 2008 collection by Givenchy is remarkably different from the norm and takes us all off from the everlasting gardens full of flowers on our apparels. The artistic designer has come to believe that beauty is not only about colors and fairy like looks. There are so many different forms in which feminist can be manifested.

The “Gothic Ballerina” collection by Riccardo Tisci has served the purpose of displaying the restrained beauty in dark colors. The innovative outlook by Givenchy is commendable. the dark tailoring and the pleated skirts gives a new appearance to the models of spring season who have been bored till now by wearing colorful dresses for the season. Ribbons, frills and feathers have been used in the collection, but are marvelously different from their conventional look. These all contribute towards the gothic side of feminist.

I am speechless about the collection. i think it is stylish and deviant. What do you think about these? Aren’t they wonderfully non conventional, yet beautiful?

Flimsy Fabrics Dominate The Trend

Monday, March 24th, 2008 | Apparels, Designer, Designer dresses, Designers, Fashion, Fashion Designers, Spring Collection 2008, Style, Summer Collection 2008 with No Comments »

BCBG

The trends for the upcoming seasons of spring and summer are decided by the fashion tycoons of the industry. This year, the trends which will dominate the high street fashion are going to be the ones which are extremely delicate and flimsy. Therefore, just leave your selves free this season and follow the delicate and flimsy fashion trend. To your surprise you will find out the benefits of such trend following. The designers have been stressing on these fabrics as they are quite comfortable in summers and springs. They give you scope for being yourself.

Alessandro Dell AcQua

Well known fashion designers such as BCBG, Alessandro Dell AcQua as well as J.Mendel have purported the current trend by designing such garments. Don’t you think that this is an innovative style? i find the style exclusive, creative, and comfortable too. The fashion artists have just turned these fragile fabrics into loose skirts or overlays. Another noticeable point is that the dresses are not skinny. This gesture moves beyond the quest to look sensual with tight fitted clothes. This is a move towards giving ample space to the body to breathe. I am just waiting to have some of these exclusive and comfortable silhouettes. What do you think about these? Are you waiting for them too for an ultimate collection for the summer and spring season?

karenwalker08 Karen Walker shades for a bright summer

Hey folks, are you gearing up for the summer days that is ahead of you. With the sale season hitting an all time high, I am visiting almost every possible store to get my hands on the best bargain. Almost every Saturdays in this month went on my shopping rendezvous and it is quite unlikely that you are just sitting back and relaxing.
From flip-flops, thongs, bags, outfits to bright and colourful shades I am making it a point that I get everything ready for the sexy summer. After all, it is the time when you can flaunt the best and make the ultimate use of the shades that are available in zillions designs in the stores.
Apart from the regular brands in the market such as fast track, provogue, there is one designer who has made a niche for herself in the last eight years in the sunglass industry.
She is none other than native New Zealander Karen Walker. Apart from her clothing line that is always unique and highly contrasting, she decided to extend her business to eyewear. Recently she launched her new line of shades called the ‘sunnies’.
Here’s an update on her design. Take your pick.

Miu Miu SS08: Kirsten Dunst

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 | Apparels, Designer, Designer Accessories, Designer dresses, Life style, Spring Collection 2008, Style, Summer Collection 2008 with No Comments »

Kirsten Dunst

This month almost all the major brands and designer tags are launching their advertisement campaigns. It is a pretty interesting period for all the style and fashion freaks. Recently, the Miu Miu SS08 collection has been launched and the very famous and glamorous Kirsten Dunst has modeled for the current collection. I was very eagerly waiting for it. I must say that the marketing campaign by the designer collection is simply mind blowing.

Kirsten Dunst

All the outfits featured in the campaign are really awesome. The bags and other accessories that have been show cased are looking absolutely gorgeous. I love the designing of most of them. Above all, Kirsten Dunst is looking tremendously amazing as usual. She is an excellent actress and her style gets reflected in each picture. She can play all roles simultaneously: she is a coquette, a woman with feminine charm and a dramatic personality.

Stella McCartney

It was the eminent day of 4th October, 2007, when the gala event of the Paris Fashion scene witnessed the hip style of Stella McCartney. The designs and the colors were too appropriate to be called the spring-summer collection. The colors were very relaxing and attractive. The flowing locks of the beautiful models flaunting the gorgeous dresses displayed a sense of carefree attitude and a mood for fun and frolic.

Stella McCartney

Floral prints and a variety of colors were prevalent in the collection as a symbol of the spring season. The fabric used also signified a taste for elegance and also liberation. She mostly used chiffon, georgette, and layered ivory for her designer wear collection.

Stella McCartney

The wooden heels that the models exhibited complemented the style of the dresses, and showed her love for natural things. The bags being displayed at the show also had colorful appearance and the patterns were also too good. Just have a look at the beautiful patterns of her garments. I really adore the styles of the back portion of her outfits. They are very sensual.

Evergreen Veronique Leroy: The Paris Fashion Week

Friday, October 5th, 2007 | Designer, Designer dresses, Fashion, Fashion Accessories, Fashion Designers, Fashion Week, Fashion show, New Designer Stuff, Spring Collection 2008, Style, Summer Collection 2008 with No Comments »

Veronique Leroy

Veronique Leroy is a name who is one of the fashion giants in this elite city of the fashion trends. This French fashion designer is full of innovation and creation so much so that I think that her imagination is just ceaseless. The vast arena of styling outfits is her field of art, and n this field she has received applause because of her tremendous ability to create garments which are evergreen. Her style and designs don’t usually become outdated. They are always ‘in’.

This skilled artist is presently the Creative Director for Leonard, and I must acknowledge that she has revitalized the grand with her immense talent. All her creations look gorgeous and trendy. They are worth possessing (if you can afford them). I like the patterns that she gives to each garment. The style of each one is not elaborate or excessively detailed, but these outfits own a chic look, elegance, and are obviously trendy.

In the fashion show, the designs of her creations seemed a bit conventional and simple, but they all have the air of progressive style and fashion that is forward-looking. They look very comfortable and display a sense of ease in styling. Other designers flaunting their collection at the Paris Fashion Week were Tsumori Chisato, Vanessa Bruno, Tao Kurihara, Balmain, Vivienne Westwood, Junya Watanabe, Robert Normad, Gaultier, Dice Kayek, Stanislassia Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Andrew Gn and many more. How do you feel about her collection?
